Extremely long survey

I figure…why not? Many, many words below the cut.

Part 1: The Basics

  1. What is your full name?
    • Osbeorne Alfred Brook
    • Tegil, formerly known as Dínendir
    • Aeldes (originally named Mornawen)
    • Adairia Daisy Finch
    • Kimberly Leigh Brook
  2. Where and when were you born?
    • Osbeorne – In Bree-town on January 4 (33 y.o. as of 2018).
    • Tegil – In Minas Tirith on June 16 (25 y.o. as of 2017).
    • Aeldes – In Valinor; no real concept of age/date at this point.
    • Adairia – In Durrow on April 14 (15 y.o. as of 2018).
    • Kimberly – In Bree-town on March 12 (25 y.o. as of 2018).
  3. Who are/were your parents? (Their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
    • Osbeorne – His father, Freddie, was a stocker in the Bree-town Auction House. He was a quiet man with a strong work ethic and ear for music. His mother, Nattie, is a seamstress and purveyor of cloth dyes. She is a fiery woman who always has an encouraging word.
    • Tegil – His mother, Hannien, is a scholar and runs their household. His father, Gwainon, is head of their family business (shipping goods, mostly luxuries). In their later years, they have become more reserved, but are still known for throwing fantastic parties.
    • Aeldes – Vórimano (father) and Ñolwien (mother). Clever and ambitious elves who left Valinor to head to Middle-earth. Both were bystanders killed in the Kinslaying, but did not participate. Aeldes faintly remembers them, as they journeyed while she was still a young woman (elf equivalent of teen).
    • Adairia – Giles and Lana Finch. Giles (the town gatekeeper) is a relatively friendly man but is quite traditional. Lana (the town midwife) is clever and open-minded and seems to be well-suited to balancing out Giles.
    • Kimberly – Same as Osbeorne.
  4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
    • Osbeorne – One younger sister, Kimberly (he calls her Kimby). The two of them have always playfully butted heads, but when push comes to shove, they will always defend/back the other up. He thinks she’s a bit airheaded, but still loves her so much and will always try to stay one step ahead of anything or anyone that could ever possibly hurt her.
    • Tegil – Tegil was born the youngest of four siblings: Thurinon and Corunir (older brothers), and Merileth (older sister). Unfortunately, he is the only surviving son left; he lost both his brothers at various points throughout the War of the Ring, as they both served in Minas Tirith’s military. They were all happy siblings who generally got along as children; he and Merileth, who were already very close, have grown closer after those losses.
    • Aeldes – Only biological child, has one adopted sister. She and her sister were exceptionally close, and the letter her sister left behind for when she awoke from her healing was a lengthy plea to follow them back to Valinor as soon as possible.
    • Adairia – She has a much-older brother (Birch) and an older sister (Willow). Birch has, very much so to Adairia’s absolute anger, been disowned by her father and mother because he refuses to pretend he isn’t gay. She and Birch were always close, despite their age difference, and she sneaks away to visit him whenever she’s able. She and her sister also get along well, and Willow will often cover for Ada when she goes to visit Birch.
    • Kimberly – She, and pretty much everyone else who knows him, calls her older brother Osbeorne “Os.” She has always appreciated how he can be overprotective of her, but now that she’s an adult in her own right, it’s starting to chafe away at their patience with one another.
  5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
    • Osbeorne – Last year, Os bought a house in Durrow (2 Long Street). He was looking for a change of pace, a place with a yard to set up a forge, and a solid investment (land is always a good choice). It’s sparsely filled – “decorated” is too strong a word. He changed pretty much nothing since buying it, and all of his furniture is high-quality if simple. It’s half-home, half-office, with the larger of the two bedrooms being converted into an office and storage space for his smithing business.
    • Tegil – Several years ago, Tegil decided to settle in Dol Amroth and purchased a moderately sized estate in the city. It is located in the Artisan’s Quarter, and the back of it faces the ocean. He has tastefully decorated it, with jewel tones and the colors of the sea.
    • Aeldes – She travels too much to ever call one place home, at this point.
    • Adairia – Her family lives in a modest house near the gate of Durrow. After her brother was kicked out, she and her sister were given their own rooms. It’s a well-maintained and warm house, decorated by her mother (everything is simple and some earth- or green-tone).
    • Kimberly – She just moved into an apartment with her good friend, Nellie. They moved into a tiny place, barely big enough for two people. Her room has just enough space for a bed, one dresser, and a desk…if you’re willing to climb over the bed to get to the desk. Their main area is one large room, with a kitchenette.
  6. What is your occupation?
    • Osbeorne – Smithing of all varieties. He mostly deals with wrought ironwork and farm equipment repairs, but in his spare time, he does indulge in precious ores for finer metalwork.
    • Tegil – Sindarin translation and transcription. He also does a fair amount of general merchant work, helping run the Dol Amroth branch of his family business.
    • Aeldes – She doesn’t have an occupation, but she is well-trained in the ancient ways of healing, both magical and mundane.
    • Adairia – Training at her mother’s knee for several years now, Ada knows much about midwifery. She plans on continuing these studies and to become a midwife in her own right when she’s older.
    • Kimberly – Creating and using dyes is what she seems to have her heart set on. It’s something she grew up watching her mother do, and Kimberly seems to have a knack for it, herself.
  7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
    • Osbeorne – A tall (6’), buff man with long chestnut-colored hair, tanned skin, and a very respectably bushy beard. Besides the beard, his pale blue eyes are probably his most striking feature. His physique is quite muscular from long hours working the forge for the majority of his life. His biceps, if you’re into that, are the stuff dreams are made of. His arms are the hands of a blacksmith: hands mostly smooth from wearing leather gloves so often, but many small scars laced across both hands and forearms from small accidents here or there. On his right leg, there is a scar above his knee from injuries he got in the North Downs. He also has a long-healed (but still ugly) slash across his left shoulder, from an old poisoned blade injury during his time in the Bree-town guard.
    • Tegil – Lean, lanky, and very fit (6’). His most noticeable feature is the long, glossy, raven-colored locks that typically find their way into his face. He will often sweep them back into a half-ponytail while working. He has dark blue eyes with a hint of grey around the pupils. There are stretch marks on his torso, and he has a noticeable round scar on his left temple.
    • Aeldes –  Her appearance can be disconcerting to those unused to elves, particularly older elves: she is much taller than most, even other elves, towering at 6’7”. Her frame is slender and willowy, given her centuries recovering from poisoning in Rivendell. She has long, silky jet-black hair that is rarely restrained and a borderline otherworldly look to her sky-blue eyes.
    • Adairia – Freckles on her nose, on her chin, on her cheeks, on her forehead: freckles everywhere! She hit puberty early, complete with the awkward curves. Even at 15, she is already 5’6” (but is unlikely to get any taller). Apple-green eyes are often assaulted by locks of rough, voluminously textured brown hair, which is cut into attractively short, choppy layers that frame her face. The shin bone in her right knee has some small bumps on it, from when she broke it a few years back.
    • Kimberly – A taller young woman with a sturdy but still decidedly feminine frame, tanned skin, pale blue eyes (much like her brother’s), and a light, carroty auburn hair color. Her hair is currently in rough, wavy chin-length layers, but she has been toying around with the idea of growing it out. She has a fair smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks. Normally visible marks include a jagged, new-but-healed scar on her left elbow and a sizeable older scar that runs on the bottom of her left foot, from her pinky toe to the top of the arch of her foot.
  8. To which social class do you belong?
    • Osbeorne – Artisan.
    • Tegil – Wealthy merchant.
    • Aeldes – Irrelevant.
    • Adairia – Belongs to a solidly middle-class working family.
    • Kimberly – Well-off working class.
  9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
    • Osbeorne – Allergic to onions! No other real weaknesses, though.
    • Tegil – None.
    • Aeldes – None.
    • Adairia – She is allergic to cats.
    • Kimberly – None.
  10. Are you right- or left-handed?
    • Osbeorne – Righty.
    • Tegil – Righty.
    • Aeldes – Ambidextrous.
    • Adairia – Righty.
    • Kimberly – Lefty.
  11. What does your voice sound like?
    • Osbeorne – He has a rumbling, rich voice. In more private moments, it can turn gravelly.
    • Tegil – His normal speaking voice is light and musical. When he speaks lowly, his voice has a deep and silky tone to it.
    • Aeldes – Sing-songy, floating, as if she were singing poetry to the wind. Similar to Satine’s breathy vocal patterns when talking with the Duke (minus the, uh, fear).
    • Adairia – Her voice is very typical of a 14-year-old girl, not too high or low. She is prone to squeaking if surprised/tickled, though.
    • Kimberly – Her voice has a laughing quality to it, a warm and playful tone.
  12. Do you have any distinct accent or dialect, or pronunciation quirks?
    • Osbeorne – He has a nondescript accent belonging to Bree-landers who grew up in Bree-town proper. The longer he’s in Durrow, the less pronounced it’s becoming.
    • Tegil – He is a learned man of Minas Tirith whose speech holds a significant accent. It’s understandable, but very clear. He also consciously never uses contractions; if he uses one, he’s either very off guard or doing it on purpose (or I screwed up).
    • Aeldes – In Westron, she has a generically “elvish” accent. In Sindarin, she has a very deep Beleriand accent, more specifically an odd blend of Doriath and Lindon. If she ever had cause to speak in Quenya, it would sound (beautifully) archaic.
    • Adairia – She can speak very quickly at times, particularly when excited. Her accent is a fairly standard Bree-land accent, with a slight twang on certain words.
    • Kimberly – She has a lower-class Bree-town accent, much like her brother’s; it’s not quite as pronounced as his, but she still uses that lazier form of speech most of the time.
  13. What do you have in your pockets?
    • Osbeorne – A couple pieces of string to tie back hair, some scraps to doodle on, and probably a small bag of jerky for snacking.
    • Tegil – A minimum of one quill and inkwell, scraps to write down notes, and he always carries a small book of Elvish poetry on his person; it is a gift received as a young boy, from his older sister.
    • Aeldes – A letter from her sister and some healing herbs. Probably a bandage or two.
    • Adairia – Scraps of cloth, a handkerchief, and a small wooden charm her brother carved for her (in the shape of a daisy).
    • Kimberly – Usually just a handkerchief.
  14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
    • Osbeorne – He tends to move his arms and hands when talking, and he grew up in a very physical family: hugging, shoulder punching, and general horseplay are ingrained in his mannerisms. He’s akin to a big teddy bear when it comes to romance; he’ll look for any excuse to have a hand on her back, arm around her waist, or head on her knee.
    • Tegil – The biggest thing one may notice about him is that he never consciously uses contractions. He also has impeccable posture at all times.
    • Aeldes – What isn’t strange or quirky about her? She near-dances around instead of walks and has a habit of randomly attempting to befriend any friendly creature that comes across her path.
    • Adairia – She will very often bite her lower lip and clasp her hands behind her back when nervous or shy.
    • Kimberly – When she’s deep in thought, Kimberly will often absentmindedly run her tongue along the top of her teeth. Like Os, she is a very physically involved, teasing kind of person when socializing.

Part 2: Growing Up

  1. How would you describe your childhood in general?
    • Osbeorne – A perfectly nice childhood. Good friends, great relationship with his family, and got into apprenticing early enough to avoid too much schooling.
    • Tegil – He had a happy childhood, full of learning, love, and language (and many roughhousing sessions). His sister instilled a deep-seated love of poetry, reading her favorites to him at night.
    • Aeldes – She had an uneventful and beautiful childhood growing up in Valinor.
    • Adairia – Her childhood was pretty amazing, for most of it: she was a daddy’s girl, loved both her siblings and was able to get some education!
    • Kimberly – Much like Os’s, she had a pretty decent childhood. The main blemish on it was her bitter rivalry with Frank, jealous as she was for Os’s attention.
  2. What is your earliest memory?
    • Osbeorne – Being fed applesauce as a toddler.
    • Tegil – His sister reading poetry to him as a very small boy.
    • Aeldes – Learning how to braid hair with her mother, one of the few explicit memories she retains from Valinor.
    • Adairia – Birch (her older brother) bouncing her around on his shoulders in the front yard.
    • Kimberly – Os letting her ride him like a horse around the main room in their family apartment.
  3. How much schooling have you had?
    • Osbeorne – He was apprenticed to a master smith in town at 13 years of age. Os did finish school, but he’s forgotten most of the finer details.
    • Tegil – Extensive schooling in both Westron and Sindarin, courtesy of his parents’ tutors in Minas Tirith.
    • Aeldes – She learned from friends, family, teachers, throughout her time in the First and Second Age, on various things. She decided to focus on healing arts, and that is what she knows best.
    • Adairia – She learned her letters and math, at the insistence of her mother (her father is more traditionally minded, but the argument that Ada was going to learn her mother’s midwifery duties swayed him).
    • Kimberly – Unlike Os, she finished school and retained its knowledge. She is particularly sharp on her numbers, honed by helping her mother keep the books for years.
  4. Did you enjoy school?
    • Osbeorne – Nah, not really. Still glad he went, though.
    • Tegil – Immensely!
    • Aeldes – Learning has always been a true joy for her, whether in a formal setting or otherwise.
    • Adairia – Yes! Because she knew it almost didn’t happen, she never took it for granted.
    • Kimberly – For the most part, she enjoyed it. The socializing with friends was better than the learning, though!
  5. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
    • Osbeorne – For smithing: apprenticing, practice, and occasionally reading. For cooking/baking: his mother taught him and Kimby everything they know. His painting skills were simply honed through years of practice.
    • Tegil – Extensive tutoring and schooling for his scholarly pursuits; he is a self-taught cook, however.
    • Aeldes – Some in educational settings, others on the field (healing).
    • Adairia – Either schooling or by helping her mother.
    • Kimberly – She learned her dye work and cooking/baking from her mother, and school took care of most of the rest. Her drawing is average, and she doesn’t keep up with it frequently enough to improve much.
  6. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
    • Osbeorne – Definitely his father for his work ethic (yet with a healthy appreciation for time off), and his grandmother’s spark for always loving with all her heart.
    • Tegil – His two older brothers! They were dashing and brave and kind.
    • Aeldes – Her adopted father was a wise and kind elf who always took the time to talk her through her concerns and problems. She loved him the most.
    • Adairia – Birch! She worships the ground her older brother walks on. He’s so kind, smart, caring, and funny.
    • Kimberly – She is very close with her mom, but she has always looked to Os as someone to both protect and to idealize.
  7. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
    • Osbeorne – Very well.
    • Tegil – Swimmingly, minus his father (but even then, there was always a sense of love).
    • Aeldes – From what she can recall, it was a happy time and a happy family.
    • Adairia – Very, very well! Until her father kicked her brother out. After that, her relationship with Pa cooled considerably.
    • Kimberly – It was one big, loud, hug-happy family.
  8. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    • Osbeorne – At first, a painter; but then one day, he discovered smithing and never looked back.
    • Tegil – An elf.
    • Aeldes – Someone who truly feels and understands the land.
    • Adairia – An artist, then a seamstress, then a singer, and now a midwife.
    • Kimberly – She definitely went through a long phase of wanting to be a chef. Her father even got her a chef hat for her birthday one year.
  9. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
    • Osbeorne – Play-fighting and drawing.
    • Tegil – Reading epic poems.
    • Aeldes – Dancing and singing.
    • Adairia – Drawing and going on walks with her brother.
    • Kimberly – Following Os around, as much as he would let her.
  10. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
    • Osbeorne – Cocky but friendly and warm.
    • Tegil – Quiet, shy.
    • Aeldes – Her sing-song tone of voice has been part of her since she was very little.
    • Adairia – She was a very giggly, playful little girl, always looking for an excuse for horseplay.
    • Kimberly – Pretty snotty, but also wickedly clever. It was great unless you were on her bad side.
  11. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
    • Osbeorne – Yes, he was quite popular. He had a large circle of friends, most of whom he still occasionally runs into at the tavern.
    • Tegil – Not particularly. He had a small group of close friends, but otherwise, he was picked on quite a bit as a kid.
    • Aeldes – She had friends but wouldn’t have been considered “popular” by any stretch of the imagination.
    • Adairia – Yes, Ada was (is?) a relatively popular girl. She has an absolute best friend, Gale, but has many gossipy friends throughout the village.
    • Kimberly – Kimberly was relatively popular when younger and she had a wide network of friends (only a few were particularly close, though).
  12. When and with whom was your first kiss?
    • Osbeorne – He first kissed Shelley, his first long-term girlfriend, a good year or so before they actually started dating. They were about 15 years old at the time.
    • Tegil – A hormone-fueled kiss started his brief but very intense relationship with Súlien. He was 16, she was 17.
    • Aeldes – She’s kissed a few people, but they never meant anything much. The first was some elven guy in Doriath.
    • Adairia – Her best friend, Gale Moss. They practiced kissing together so that they’d be really good at it when they got boyfriends; however, unlike most typical movie/book plots, neither has feelings for the other.
    • Kimberly – When she was 13, she and Brady Downing snuck behind the Pony during a game of hide-and-seek.
  13. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
    • Osbeorne – Nope, he isn’t. Maaaaany moons ago, around age 17, with Shelley.
    • Tegil – Not until marriage. He holds it a sacred gift and trust, which he takes with the utmost seriousness.
    • Aeldes – Yes, she is.
    • Adairia – She is, much to her parents’ relief (given how starry-eyed she can be).
    • Kimberly – Don’t tell Os, but she and her first serious boyfriend, Colton Green, definitely went all the way on a late summer night when they were 15.

Part 3: Past Influences

  1. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
    • Osbeorne – Probably Shelley’s death. Sure, he had lost people before, but this was one he felt partially responsible for and…it stung. You don’t lose violently someone you were with for six years and not have it alter your worldview.
    • Tegil – Most definitely when he decided to break up with Nídhil and instead travel the world. Leaving Minas Tirith was the hardest and yet most enrichening part of his life.
    • Aeldes – Probably losing her parents. She was a very young adult (elf equivalent of a teen) and it was too soon.
    • Adairia – When her father kicked Birch out, hands down. It drastically changed the family dynamic at home and gave her something to truly rally against.
    • Kimberly – Would have to say when she made the decision to not follow Hefric back to Rohan. It was the moment she really started to mature and look at how her actions affect others.
  2. Who has had the most influence on you?
    • Osbeorne – He’s a momma’s boy.
    • Tegil – His older sister, for sure.
    • Aeldes – Her adopted father truly became a role model and mentor for her.
    • Adairia – At the moment, probably her mother.
    • Kimberly – Definitely her older brother, Os.
  3. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
    • Osbeorne –Becoming a landowner. He saved up for years to buy a nice house with some land on it.
    • Tegil – Surviving his trip out into the world. He really did just light on out with little in the way of knowing how to actually travel and despite that, he learned quickly and had a very good time overall.
    • Aeldes – She’s overcome a number of things in her life, but her greatest achievement (at least in her mind) is not allowing melancholy to color her view of the world around her.
    • Adairia – Getting perfect marks on her first written midwifery test; it’s the first step to actually doing it for real!
    • Kimberly – Finally moving out on her own. She may be the youngest, but she’s not a baby.
  4. What is your greatest regret?
    • Osbeorne – Not going with Shelley when she went off to be an adventurer. If he had gone, maybe he could’ve protected her.
    • Tegil – Not being better about writing his brothers while they still lived.
    • Aeldes – Missing so much of the Third Age.
    • Adairia – Probably those three months she spent mad at Gale over a misunderstanding; nothing worse than fighting with your best friend.
    • Kimberly – Not spending more time with her father, given how suddenly he died. If she had known…
  5. What is something you don’t want anyone else to find out about you?
    • Osbeorne – He loves painting. Flowers. All the canvases adorning his small shack are from a “distant aunt.”
    • Tegil – He was once a fat kid that was picked on mercilessly.
    • Aeldes – Her parents were both casualties of the kinslaying but they did not actually participate in it; she was whisked away and taken in by another family.
    • Adairia – That she and Gale platonically practiced kissing together.
    • Kimberly – Os, specifically, but she definitely does not want him to find out about her drunken escapades at the Pony a few years back.
  6. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
    • Osbeorne – Nope. Any bar fights he’s been involved in were not started by him.
    • Tegil – Not that he’s aware of.
    • Aeldes – Even if she did, that civilization no longer exists! But she didn’t.
    • Adairia – Of course not!
    • Kimberly – Just one incident. She was really drunk and knocked a guy completely unconscious when he hit on her.
  7. When was the time you were the most frightened?
    • Osbeorne – Shortly after his father’s death, someone commented that often soulmates will die without a new purpose to cling to. He spent a good month carefully watching his mother, in case she suddenly got ill.
    • Tegil – When his family was still in Minas Tirith, despite everything happening in Mordor and Osgiliath.
    • Aeldes – When she knew she was poisoned but was unable to move to try and mitigate it.
    • Adairia – One time early on, helping her mother with a birth, they almost lost the baby. It was tense and very scary.
    • Kimberly – The first time Os ever rode off to help with a raid on an encampment of highwaymen.
  8. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
    • Osbeorne – The time he screwed up using the bellows when he first started apprenticing and caught his hair on fire. Took months for it to grow back.
    • Tegil – When he was a pudgy little kid, he was routinely kicked out of games.
    • Aeldes – …No clue. She’s not particularly embarrassed about things, as they’re all just learning experiences.
    • Adairia – Being very thoroughly and very publicly rejected by the cutest boy in the village when she asked him to the summer dance last year.
    • Kimberly – Definitely the time Frank put jellied fat in her boots. The wooooooorst.
  9. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
    • Osbeorne – He’s very content with where things are in his life right now. He wouldn’t actually change a thing, because he wants what he has.
    • Tegil – Being more forceful about getting Ceswyn to talk about where she saw their relationship going. Maybe they could have worked it out, or at least ended things more amicably.
    • Aeldes – Getting her parents out of the danger zone; maybe they’d still be alive today.
    • Adairia – If she were able to snap her fingers and have her brother not be disowned, she’d do it without even blinking.
    • Kimberly – Prior to this new liaison with Frank, she’d have said not going for that one job in the bakery a few years ago. Now, she would want to have been less mean to Frank when they were kids.
  10. What is your best memory?
    • Osbeorne – The day Kimby was born. They were already a content little family, but his parents were both just so happy and Kimby was a relatively quiet/cute baby.
    • Tegil – Seeing his mother and sister after years apart, safe and sound. There were so many tears, most of them joyful.
    • Aeldes – Walking into the sun after literal centuries of rest and healing. She missed being outdoors.
    • Adairia – The first time she successfully delivered a baby (with assistance from her mother, of course). It was a rush.
    • Kimberly – Her first overnight camping party with friends, as a teen. They stayed up late, went swimming, talked about boys for hours, and generally bonded. It was wonderful.
  11. What is your worst memory?
    •  Osbeorne – Finding out that his father died.
    • Tegil – When his first brother died. After so many years of being in the Gondorian army, Tegil just naturally began to feel that his brothers were invincible.
    • Aeldes – The Kinslaying.
    • Adairia – When she fell out of a tree and broke her leg in two separate spots. It was…the worst feeling of pain, ever.
    • Kimberly – Being there with her mother when they found out that her father had died. Nattie did not react…well to the news.

Part 4: Beliefs and Opinions

  1. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? [*copy & pastes the same answer*]
    • Osbeorne – Optimistic
    • Tegil – Optimistic
    • Aeldes – Optimistic
    • Adairia – Optimistic
    • Kimberly – Optimistic
  2. What is your greatest fear?
    • Osbeorne – He’s again fallen in love with a woman who enjoys adventuring; it’s only natural he would hold a deep-seated fear that he’d lose a second soulmate that way. Varidia is far more seasoned than Shelley was, though, so he has kept that very tucked away.
    • Tegil – Losing his sister; after losing both brothers, they are the only siblings left in his family. He’d be devastated if anything happened to her.
    • Aeldes – Heading back to Valinor and discovering that her parents were, in fact, participants in the Kinslaying. She has no logical or valid reason to suspect such, but it’s always been a deep-seated fear.
    • Adairia – Becoming an old spinster, alone. She doesn’t think it’ll happen, but it does give her nightmares on occasion.
    • Kimberly – Losing Os. Her brother is invincible and will always be, in some small part of her heart, her hero.
  3. What are your religious views?
    • Osbeorne – Doesn’t really have any.
    • Tegil – He believes in the Valar and reveres them, but he doesn’t go so far as to worship them or anything. He’ll superstitiously pray to them in times of real need or crisis but won’t really expect anything to happen from it.
    • Aeldes – Having been born in Valinor and living through the First and most of the Second Age, Aeldes has a complicated opinion on religion. It’s there and it’s real and she absolutely recognizes it, but… she would rather abstain respectfully.
    • Adairia – Pretty unreligious household.
    • Kimberly – Never really considered it much.
  4. What are your political views?
    • Kind of N/A. Don’t really delve into that at all.
  5. What are your views on sex?
    • Osbeorne – It’s fun! Important, but not like…the most important part of a relationship. He’s pretty well-practiced, though, and is relatively proud of his skill.
    • Tegil – Very serious about abstaining until marriage.
    • Aeldes – Not something she really thinks about. That’ll change if she finds a soulmate, though.
    • Adairia – It sounds like a lot of fun! She knows a lot of the side effects (with all her midwifery work), though, so she’s pretty aware of being careful.
    • Kimberly – She’s certainly indulged and isn’t particularly judgmental of others who do outside of wedlock, as well.
  6. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
    • Osbeorne – He has, and he would again. Protecting others is the main acceptable circumstance for killing another person (but other reasons always can pop up). Orcs and evil creatures, on the other hand…who needs an excuse?
    • Tegil – That has yet to be tested, but if push came to shove, he would likely be able to kill someone or something in order to protect himself or others.
    • Aeldes – She has, and she absolutely would again, but only in the name of self-defense. Period. If possible, she will always flee, instead.
    • Adairia – The only way Ada would kill someone or something is if she were actively being attacked and she lashed out in self-defense. She’s not trained nor mentally prepared to ever purposefully kill.
    • Kimberly – She has not, but if it were absolutely required, she’d do it in a heartbeat. She’s wanted to learn the bow for years.
  7. In your opinion, what is the evillest thing any human being could do?
    • Osbeorne – What happened to Jaemy. Let’s just leave it at that.
    • Tegil – Work for The Enemy.
    • Aeldes – Work for The Enemy.
    • Adairia – Hurt a child.
    • Kimberly – Abuse someone who can’t defend themselves.
  8. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
    • Osbeorne – He definitely does not believe that there is only one soulmate or true love out there for each person, but he does steadfastly believe that there are some people out there who are just right together.
    • Tegil – Abso-freaking-lutely.
    • Aeldes – She steadfastly believes in soul mates, but not that they are always particularly romantic soul mates. Sometimes it is a true friend, meant to be a complement to your own spirit.
    • Adairia – She’s almost 15 years old! Of course, she does! And they’re wonderful! Romantic!
    • Kimberly – Kim isn’t as big a believer in soul mates as one may think, as daydreamy as she is, but she most certainly believes in true love. True love isn’t a one-and-done deal, though; rather, she considers it a commitment and inexplicable magnetism.
  9. What do you believe makes a successful life?
    • Osbeorne – As sappy as it sounds, love. Os really believes the most successful people are those who leave a legacy of people who care about them.
    • Tegil – Continuing his family’s line and legacy.
    • Aeldes – Learning everything one can and ensuring that others are able to live as well.
    • Adairia – Achieving your life goals.
    • Kimberly – Being happy with your life. If you’re not happy, it’s clearly not very successful, now is it?
  10. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
    • Osbeorne – For the most part, Os is very open with how he feels. He’ll only hold back when it’s very inappropriate to say whatever he’s feeling.
    • Tegil – He’s so wordy, it can be hard to tell if he wears his heart on his sleeve or if he just pontificates so much that he inadvertently shares his thoughts. In reality, he’s pretty reticent to share deep-rooted feelings or thoughts.
    • Aeldes – She is very open with her thoughts and her feelings, but extremely evasive and vague in regard to facts about her past and history.
    • Adairia – She’s outgoing and energetic, but Ada tends to play things pretty close to the chest. If she gets rattled, she’ll blurt out how she really feels, but she tends to prefer being coy instead of transparent.
    • Kimberly – A relatively assertive young woman who knows what she wants, she’ll bluntly state what she wants, or at least obviously hint at it (kissing someone instead of addressing a mutual attraction, for instance).
  11. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
    • Osbeorne – Not too many, but he is still struggling with balancing his more traditional (but loving) upbringing with the realities of the people in his life.
    • Tegil – He likes to think of himself as truly open-minded, but he has an ingrained prejudice against those of direct Harad descent; it was irrational, but then his brother was killed by one in battle.
    • Aeldes – Dwarves; rational at the time, irrational now. She’ll be polite and trade with them but doesn’t trust them at all.
    • Adairia – Not much of any yet, no.
    • Kimberly – She had a bad experience with a blonde guy and now she’s most definitely not interested/attracted to them at all.
  1. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
    • Osbeorne – Hurt a child. He feels that kind of thing is pretty self-explanatory.
    • Tegil – He has a personal code of ethics, and it is something to which he subscribes his entire sense of self-worth and honor.
    • Aeldes – To break her now-ancient oaths of healing and respite.
    • Adairia – While she hasn’t taken any healers oaths yet, she will absolutely refuse to break that once she reaches that point.
    • Kimberly – Cheat. She’s been cheated on, and it’s (in her words) “the worst fucking shit to do.”
  2. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
    •  Osbeorne – Die for? Kimby, hands down. He’d absolutely step into mortal danger without blinking for Frank, Varidia, or Jaemy, though.
    • Tegil – Any of his family members, and he wouldn’t even think twice about it.
    • Aeldes – Those of her adopted family, particularly her sister and father.
    • Adairia – Her mother and brother. Probably Gale, too.
    • Kimberly – Osbeorne, without hesitation.

Part 5: Relationships with Others

  1. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
    • Osbeorne – He is super friendly to everyone at first but on a superficial level. When he really gets to know people, though, he continues to be kind…just more comfortably so.
    • Tegil – Regardless of how he views or feels about a person, he will treat them with cordiality and respect. It’s simply the proper thing to do!
    • Aeldes – Everyone (that isn’t a dwarf) is a potential friend unless they prove otherwise.
    • Adairia – It entirely depends on who they are; she’s very aware of how she should act toward adults, and she’s also quite sensitive to the fragile social structure that is “being a teen in a moderately sized village.”
    • Kimberly – She’s generally nice, if snarky, to most people. She’s also relatively empathetic, though, and will easily swap to a gentle kindness if someone seems to be going through something.
  2. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
    • Osbeorne – If he had to pick one, he’d pick Kimby. But in reality, he’d insist on choosing both her and Varidia. The reason for both should be fairly obvious.
    • Tegil – Arassiel, his youngest niece. She’s such a precious soul, so very like her uncle, and he wants her to protect her curiosity for as long as he can.
    • Aeldes – Her adopted sister, her closest friend.
    • Adairia – It would be a toss-up between her mother and her brother, but she’d probably choose her brother because he’s her hero.
    • Kimberly – Most important? Her mother. The one she would choose as most important? Her brother.
  3. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
    • Osbeorne – Frank. He’s younger than Os and he’s dealt with some shit but didn’t let it take him down. He also has a very good head on his shoulders.
    • Tegil – His mother. She’s lost two of her three sons, and yet she is as sturdy and inspired as she was when he was a small child learning at her knee.
    • Aeldes – Her adopted father. His wisdom and generosity are only overshadowed by his wit.
    • Adairia – Easily her mother. She keeps their family glued together as best she can and is always looking for ways to help her children.
    • Kimberly – Her father. He managed to somehow balance being an extremely hard worker with being a family man who always had time for his little girl.
  4. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
    • Osbeorne – Frank!!
    • Tegil – He has several good friends, but none he would consider a ‘best’ friend.
    • Aeldes – Aglarebeth
    • Adairia – Gale Moss.
    • Kimberly – Nellie Hale.
  5. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
    • Osbeorne – Varidia.
    • Tegil – Nope.
    • Aeldes – No.
    • Adairia – Not…technically? Does Kieran count? They’re…together, but it’s a secret because her parents don’t know yet?
    • Kimberly – I’mma say it’s safe to call Frank her boyfriend at this point.
  6. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
    • Osbeorne – Several times. One died, one left due to family pressure, one fizzled out, and one had to leave town (he wasn’t willing to follow). He is in love right now, and really hoping this one will stick, as it’s a particularly comfortable yet passionate relationship.
    • Tegil – Yes, once. It ended poorly (being broken up with after proposing on their two-year anniversary).
    • Aeldes – Nothing romantic has stuck as more than flirting and/or a chaste fling.
    • Adairia – Not yet, not for real!
    • Kimberly – Yes, twice. Once, it wasn’t reciprocated, and the other time, they amicably separated due to familial obligations.
  7. What do you look for in a potential lover?
    • Osbeorne – A fiery personality, but still kind and grounded in reality.
    • Tegil – A love of the fanciful and whimsy.
    • Aeldes – Good question.
    • Adairia – A steady personality, great smile, and dark eyes.
    • Kimberly – Scruff (not a beard) and a great sense of humor.
  8. How close are you to your family?
    • Osbeorne – Very. It is a small family and he cherishes them all.
    • Tegil – Particularly given the losses they’ve endured, the remainder of his still sizable family has grown very close.
    • Aeldes – She was always close with her adopted family and will be elated to reunite with them once she completes her final journey.
    • Adairia – Father: not so much anymore. Mother: very, but within reason. Brother: extremely. Sister: fairly.
    • Kimberly – Just like Os, her family is so very important to her.
  9. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
    • Osbeorne – He’s hoping he is beginning to lay the groundwork for it (starting with Varidia and Jaemy), but he isn’t going to count his chickens before the eggs have even been laid…much less hatched.
    • Tegil – No. He absolutely wants to, when he finds someone. All the kids!!
    • Aeldes – She has not, and she is not in any sort of rush to do so. It’d probably be nice one day, though.
    • Adairia – Far too young to do that right now but she certainly wants to! She wants four children one day.
    • Kimberly – Not yet. She’s lived her life fairly day-to-day thus far and while it’s a distant “would be nice” thought, it isn’t something she’s actively yearning for at the moment.
  10. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
    • Osbeorne – Frank or Varidia, depending on what it is. Probably both, though.
    • Tegil – His mother or Nidhil’s father.
    • Aeldes – Most of her close friends and family have left. She’d likely just leave if it were that bad.
    • Adairia – Her parents, unless it’s something her parents couldn’t know; then, her older brother.
    • Kimberly – Osbeorne.
  11. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
    • Osbeorne – If by “protect,” you mean “have your back in combat,” sure. He’d trust any of the Wayfarers (especially Frank or Varidia), most of the Bree-town guards, and a handful of other friends he’s fought alongside in the past.
    • Tegil – …He took self-defense lessons for a reason.
    • Aeldes – No, but mostly because she doesn’t plan on being in any major danger in the first place, so why bother peg people as protectors?
    • Adairia – She’d trust her father, her brother, and the local constable to protect her.
    • Kimberly – Osbeorne. She trusts her older brother implicitly.
  12. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
    • Osbeorne – Hopefully a lot of people! His mom, sister, Varidia, and Frank would be chief among them.
    • Tegil – His entire family, anyone in Bree-land who got word of his disappearance/death.
    • Aeldes – No one specific in Middle-earth; most of her old acquaintances have long since passed to Valinor.
    • Adairia – Her family, her friends, likely Kieran.
    • Kimberly – Family, and friends. Especially Nellie. Oh, and Frank.
  13. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
    • Osbeorne – O’Connell. Just because he’s dead doesn’t mean Os can’t still be righteously angry at him.
    • Tegil – The men who killed his brothers.
    • Aeldes – Sauron.
    • Adairia – Her father’s old friend. Whenever he’s in town, her Pa gets extra-loud with his random rants about strangers.
    • Kimberly – Frank! Nah, just kidding. Definitely Nellie’s ex-husband, the abusive jackoff.
  14. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
    • Osbeorne – It entirely depends on the situation and who it is. It’s so dependent for him, he doesn’t even tend to prefer one way or the other.
    • Tegil – Avoid conflict when necessary, unless it’s a point of pride or honor.
    • Aeldes – Avoid every time. Debating is one thing but arguing can be messy.
    • Adairia – Very dependent on the context for her.
    • Kimberly – Oh, she’ll take someone to task pretty much every time.
  15. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
    • Osbeorne – Yes, but he isn’t overtly forceful about it. He’ll step up if needed.
    • Tegil – Not usually, no.
    • Aeldes – Depends on the social situation, but she’d prefer not to do so.
    • Adairia – Unless she becomes flustered or shy, yes! She’s very bold.
    • Kimberly – All the time; so assertive is she.
  16. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
    • Osbeorne – It can be a lot of fun once in a while!
    • Tegil – He is adept enough at conducting himself in these situations, but it’s not his favorite.
    • Aeldes – She’s quite comfortable in large or small groups of people, flitting from conversation to conversation with ease.
    • Adairia – If it’s part of a teen social event, she flourishes in a large group; if it’s a bunch of adults or something, though, she’ll get really bored.
    • Kimberly – Sure, why not? She’s comfortable in large groups!
  17. Do you care what others think of you?
    • Osbeorne – More than he lets on. He tries to be someone everyone can like, and when that doesn’t happen, he can be pretty disappointed at times.
    • Tegil – Very much so. He’s hyper-aware of polite cordiality and the proper ways to greet a large swathe of people, just so that he doesn’t offend.
    • Aeldes – Not particularly, no.
    • Adairia – A relatively popular 15-year-old girl in a village? You bet.
    • Kimberly – She cares about what certain people think of her, but she’s otherwise self-assured enough that it isn’t too much of a concern for her.

Part 6: Likes and Dislikes

  1. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
    • Osbeorne – Drinking, painting/sketching, and fishing.
    • Tegil – Reading for leisure, writing poetry, and walking along the shore.
    • Aeldes – Sleeping in trees. No, seriously.
    • Adairia – Sketching, braiding hair, and picking out fabrics.
    • Kimberly – Baking, reading trashy novels (to make fun of them), and exploring local ruins (that are safe, of course).
  2. What is your most treasured possession?
    • Osbeorne – The first painting he ever finished. It hangs in his bedroom.
    • Tegil – The small book of poetry from his sister.
    • Aeldes – The letter from her sister.
    • Adairia – The wooden daisy her brother carved for her.
    • Kimberly – She often wears a plain ring on a necklace; the ring was given to her by her grandmother.
  3. What is your favorite color?
    • Osbeorne – Deep green.
    • Tegil – Crimson.
    • Aeldes – Deep red.
    • Adairia – Purple!
    • Kimberly – Bright blues.
  4. What is your favorite food?
    • Osbeorne – Since ale doesn’t count, probably a good hearty stew.
    • Tegil – Onions.
    • Aeldes – Carrots.
    • Adairia – Beets, oddly enough. Especially when pickled.
    • Kimberly – Apple turnovers.
  5. What, if anything, do you like to read?
    • Osbeorne – Not the biggest reader, but he enjoys a good murder mystery once in a while.
    • Tegil – Everything. Seriously, he’ll read anything at least once.
    • Aeldes – Historical documentation and stories. She likes trying to find inaccuracies.
    • Adairia – Midwifery studies, and poetry (secretly).
    • Kimberly – Very bad, trashy romance novels. She loves to laugh at them!
  6. What is your idea of good entertainment?
    • Osbeorne – Good friends, good drink, good food, and good stories: pick two, and you’re bound to have a good time!
    • Tegil – Intellectually stimulating conversation and a glass of quality red wine.
    • Aeldes – Song and dance! Particularly when outside. It’s the best way to appreciate nature’s beauty.
    • Adairia – Oh, lots of things are fun! Gossiping with friends, reading a good book, walking through the woods, shopping for new dress fabric…
    • Kimberly – Many things could make for a good time, but the most important is laughter. As long as someone is making jokes, the rest will fall into place.
  7. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
    • Osbeorne – He spends enough time around smoke in the forge, he doesn’t feel the need to inhale more of it in his spare time. Drink, though, hell yes! Ale is his favorite.
    • Tegil – Rarely does a day go by where Tegil doesn’t indulge in a glass of wine or two, but he tends to be moderate about it.
    • Aeldes – She will indulge occasionally but tends to not care about nor need those types of entertainment or nourishment.
    • Adairia – Nope! She snuck some watered-down ale once and hated it.
    • Kimberly – She absolutely enjoys a good drink but refrains from smoking pipeweed as it hurts her stomach.
  8. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
    • Osbeorne – These days, either cleaning so that he can go do fun stuff on Sunday… or he’s hanging out with Varidia.
    • Tegil – Finish up the week’s work, then get a nice epic poem or tome, sit back with a glass of red wine, and read until sleep takes him.
    • Aeldes – Wandering the countryside.
    • Adairia – If it’s the first or third weekend of the month, helping her mother clean and organize their supplies. Second or fourth weekend, hanging out with Gale and her friends.
    • Kimberly – Spending time with friends in a local tavern or working dyes for the upcoming week.
  9. What makes you laugh?
    • Osbeorne – He will always appreciate a good bawdy tale and bathroom humor.
    • Tegil – Puns and wordplay are his personal favorites.
    • Aeldes – She appreciates jokes if they are intelligent…or at least decent. Puns will usually garner a smile.
    • Adairia – She’s a very giggly sort, and it’s easy to get her laughing about almost anything.
    • Kimberly – Laughter is almost Kim’s default mode. If she can laugh about it, she’s chuckling. Unexpected jokes get the loudest/longest laughs out of her.
  10. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
    • Osbeorne – Abuse, stronger people exploiting others.
    • Tegil – The forcing of ignorance on others.
    • Aeldes – Evil and hatred. (The Enemy.)
    • Adairia – Not anything specific.
    • Kimberly – The insinuation that she isn’t mature.
  11. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
    • Osbeorne – Paint.
    • Tegil – Read.
    • Aeldes – Sing or dance.
    • Adairia – Sneak some more poetry by moonlight.
    • Kimberly – Sneak out onto the roof of the house and daydream as she stares at the stars.
  12. How do you deal with stress?
    • Osbeorne – True stress tends to shut him down, and he takes a day or two to quietly collect himself and process whatever has gotten him so rattled.
    • Tegil – Double down harder on whatever it is he’s trying to accomplish or prove.
    • Aeldes – Try to logic it out; if it truly can’t be reasoned away, she will then just…deal with it.
    • Adairia – Pace around a lot, wave her arms, sulk, then stubbornly try to get her way, anyway.
    • Kimberly – Growl, mutter a lot and stalk off to go calm down alone.
  13. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
    • Osbeorne – He likes having the outline of a plan, but is comfortable with impromptu plan changes, so long as someone else is aware of why/how.
    • Tegil – If you ask him, he will go on about spontaneity being such a wonderful practice, but in reality, he is the definition of a planner.
    • Aeldes – No need for concrete plans!
    • Adairia – She much prefers having a plan and knowing what she’s getting into.
    • Kimberly – Absolutely no need to make plans with Kim; she’ll wander around when she can!
  14. What are your pet peeves?
    •  Osbeorne – Not easily annoyed, but when people are dishonest with him, he really gets ticked.
    • Tegil – Watching people squash optimism and interest in learning.
    • Aeldes – Dwarves count, right?
    • Adairia – Being treated like a kid. She’s a young lady!
    • Kimberly – Patronizing behavior really gets under her skin.

Part 7: Self Images and Etc.

  1. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
    • Osbeorne – On a typical workday, he’ll get up around dawn, clean himself up, get dressed, get the forge going and let it heat up while he eats breakfast, then makes whatever he needs to for that day. Afternoons are usually left for errands, paperwork, or relaxing unless it’s a busy season – in which case, he’ll be back out at the forge for a couple of hours. It depends on why his routine is disrupted. If it’s for a good/happy reason, he doesn’t think anything of it, life happens. If it’s for a bad or sad reason, he can get frustrated.
    • Tegil – Every single day is different for Tegil. He wakes up, eats, does many different things at work, then reads in between tasks. Any disruption to his routine is a good thing, as he loves spontaneity.
    • Aeldes – No such thing!!
    • Adairia – Twice a week, she and her mother organize their supplies in the morning. Otherwise, she eats, has some quiet time, then helps her mother with anything from midwifery work to cooking/cleaning to sewing. She can get frustrated when the routine she has is broken, unless it’s for a fun surprise.
    • Kimberly – Kim doesn’t really have much a routine; she will have plans for a whole day, maybe even two, but they never have any sort of cyclical or recurring aspect to them.
  2. What is your greatest strength as a person?
    • Osbeorne – He steadfastly cares.
    • Tegil – Easily his intelligence.
    • Aeldes – Her never-ending curiosity.
    • Adairia – She has a very centered sense of self.
    • Kimberly – Her free spirit and general optimism.
  3. What is your greatest weakness?
    • Osbeorne – Kimby is by far his biggest blind spot. He’s not an entirely different person when it comes to her, but it can seem close at times.
    • Tegil – He is good at projecting confidence, but he is not so good at actually having much.
    • Aeldes – She’s almost too carefree at times.
    • Adairia – Her pride.
    • Kimberly – Likely her temper. She doesn’t fly into rages, but she gets pissy.
  4. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
    • Osbeorne – Would adore not being allergic to onions.
    • Tegil – He’s always wanted to be more buff than lanky.
    • Aeldes – She’s pretty content and wouldn’t change anything.
    • Adairia – Her freckles…make them go away!
    • Kimberly – She would really like her hair to be a little less…voluminous.
  5. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
    • Osbeorne – Yes, definitely extroverted.
    • Tegil – He thinks he straddles the line between the two, but in reality, Tegil is a textbook introvert that enjoys company.
    • Aeldes – Depends on the day. Some days, she wants to dance around with others and fest; on other days, she’s content to sit in a tree for a week and re-read books.
    • Adairia – She’s pretty extroverted unless she really likes a guy. She’s a bit of a flirt, but real crushes get her acting more giggly and shy.
    • Kimberly – She may even rival her brother for “most extroverted.”
  6. Are you generally organized or messy?
    • Osbeorne – When it comes to work and his office, very organized. When it comes to his main room/kitchen/dishes, fairly well organized. When it comes to his bedroom, it can occasionally turn into a disaster zone.
    • Tegil – Meticulously organized.
    • Aeldes – Technically being organized or messy would require having much in the way of personal possessions or a place to store them, and she has neither.
    • Adairia – She is generally an organized young woman, yes.
    • Kimberly – Other than when actively doing her work (making dyes), she’s pretty messy.
  7. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
    • Osbeorne – Good: blacksmithing, painting, cooking. Bad: jewelry-making, dancing, using a shield.
    • Tegil – Good: translation, baking, singing. Bad: patience, stubbornness, naivete.
    • Aeldes – She is better at some things than others, but it’s all the same to her. Simply a matter of more practice than anything else.
    • Adairia – Good: Midwifery work, numbers, tying hair into intricate braids. Bad: sewing, rolling bandages, whistling.
    • Kimberly – Good: baking, making dyes, being funny. Bad: temper, boundaries, poker face.
  8. Do you like yourself?
    • Osbeorne – Yep!
    • Tegil – Sometimes. It comes off as humble, but he’s actually pretty insecure.
    • Aeldes – Sure.
    • Adairia – That she does.
    • Kimberly – Of course.
  9. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)?
    • Osbeorne – To help others, because it’s the right thing to do.
    • Tegil – To protect those he loves.
    • Aeldes – Because all good life deserves a chance to thrive.
    • Adairia – N/A
    • Kimberly – Mostly N/A but if she ever took up arms, it’d be for protection.
  10. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
    • Osbeorne – A family.
    • Tegil – Find a kindred spirit.
    • Aeldes – To see Evil defeated, even if it means the passing of her kind from Middle-earth.
    • Adairia – To be that matriarch.
    • Kimberly – To find a real sense of belonging, rather than just comfort or happiness.
  11. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
    • Osbeorne – Having traveled and adventured with Varidia for a while, finally settling down and either having or adopting kids.
    • Tegil – Ideally, traveling again but this time with his True Love.
    • Aeldes – Who knows?
    • Adairia – Hmm, at age 20? Either about to be married or relatively newly married, settling into taking on her own patients as a midwife, having the time of her life.
    • Kimberly – She’s not quite sure! Life is still very “play by ear” for Kimby.
  12. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
    • Osbeorne – As an old man, in his sleep. Preferably on a camping trip or something; the idea of dying in the bed his wife would have to sleep in is…concerning.
    • Tegil – At sea, actually.
    • Aeldes – Never really thought about it.
    • Adairia – Far too young to ever really consider the idea.
    • Kimberly – She refuses to consider it. Nope.
  13. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
    • Osbeorne – Make sure he divvies up his belongings in an appropriate manner, has one last dinner with his mother and Kimby, and the rest of the time would be spent with Varidia (assuming she’d want to be around given the circumstances).
    • Tegil – Write multiple letters to his niece to be delivered on her birthdays until the age 18, get his affairs/will in order, and close out his life on the shore.
    • Aeldes – …Not much, really.
    • Adairia – Panic, sob, hug everyone forever.
    • Kimberly – Get really pissed for a while, say goodbye to Frank, and then spend the rest of the time with Os and their mom.
  14. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
    • Osbeorne – Actually, the song that I’ve considered to be his personal theme song for a while now perfectly describes this. I’ll just link it instead of explaining further.
    • Tegil – He would like his writings to continue on after his passing.
    • Aeldes – Her love of dance and song.
    • Adairia – She hasn’t really considered it, but assuming her Life Plan goes accordingly, she’d like to be remembered as the matriarch of her family.
    • Kimberly – Her laugh.
  15. What three words best describe your personality?
    • Osbeorne – Steady, friendly, honest.
    • Tegil – Gentle, charming, intelligent.
    • Aeldes – Carefree, articulate, odd.
    • Adairia – Sharp, giggly, driven.
    • Kimberly – Daydreamer, funny, bright.
  16. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
    • Osbeorne – Friendly, stubborn, reliable.
    • Tegil – Proper, intelligent, well-spoken.
    • Aeldes – Whimsical, strange, distant.
    • Adairia – Starry-eyed, smart, chipper.
    • Kimberly – Lively, vexatious, charming.
  17. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?
    • Osbeorne – Sometimes you just need to let things run their course and stop trying to fix everything. Just…relax. Let things progress normally.
    • Tegil – Be more proactive. You’re in a rut and it’s partially your own fault. Stop being afraid it’s going to happen again.
    • Aeldes – I legitimately have no advice for her. She’s…doing her thing.
    • Adairia – I know this is futile, but I must try: take it easy. Especially with that unknown factor lurking around.
    • Kimberly – So…at least try not to fall too fast? Please?
